Hugh Baxley
Who is Hugh Baxley?
Hugh Baxley is a self taught artist residing in Rapid City, South Dakota. He works in an array of mixed medias from acrylics, oils, pastels, pencil, charcoal and photography. Some of his favorite artists are Renaissance artist like Da Vinci and Michaelangelo, Rembrant and Carravagio to artist such as Dali, Picasso, Warhol, Jackson Pollock, Frida Kahlo, Van Gogh, Gentileschi, Rosa Bonheur, Cassat, and Georgia O'Keeffe. He's been a feature of an editorial in the Herald Democrat's entertainment section, Voyage Dallas and The Dallas Observer. Hugh love to share his art. He uses his emotions and minds to convey what's he thinking and what the world is thinking. He just does it in a visual way. A different perspective if you will.
